Idea for developing a WordPress Plugin

[ad_1]

Hi guys,

I am thinking of developing a WordPress plugin, a free one. I have roughly 10 years of experience as a WordPress full-stack dev, so my idea is to contribute to the WordPress.

Initially, I wanted to do a theme but I realized that there are many out there and most of the end users care about the homepage template/design and I would need a designer to make “eye-caching” theme.

From my research I noticed that everyone is looking for a:

* theme
* page builder
* optimizations/caching
* forms
* security/backup
* cookie for EU

But all of the above have already a lot of options/competitions.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed.

  1. Drupal has a form module called Webform Module that has no comparable plugin in WordPress. It is a module with SO many ways to customize forms for free. I have been thinking about building something like that for WordPress since in WordPress most form builders have a subscription in order to access more complex stuff. Maybe you can try something like that.

  2. I think YOU need to figure out what would help you in your daily work and you build that. If you dont have an idea, no point in starting. Even if someone gives you an idea, you’ll never be able to come up with a full feature set because you don’t know what other people are looking for.
