Why I should use WordPress for my agency?

[ad_1]

I’m running an online marketing agency and I’m using Astro.js as the website builder, but I see that every guy from Youtube that runs an agency uses WordPress, and I want to know if it’s worth the effort to learn and start using it. Also, if you guys have some resources/courses to start learning it would be amazing. Thanks.

  1. WordPress by far has the largest market share, currently the back bone of more than 1/3 of the Internet — so definitely worth learning and utilizing. In addition to that, the community of contributors is massive. The chances that you’ll run into anything that one of us hasn’t already tackled is small. Even here, you’ll find many full stack devs and agency owners. Check over at r/proWordPress too, for more in depth professional instruction, help etc.

  2. Because it’s fast and simple to build a marketing website.

Regarding resources, there are many out there as you have already noticed. It depends what or how deep you want to learn WP. Always the best way is to use the official WP Documentation.

For a marketing website, I don’t think you’ll need it that much. Just find a nice theme that you can use, research the most used plugins for each category – cache, SEO, security, page builder, forms and it’s done. You can also easily hire a WP dev if you need a specific feature for your website.

  3. I’d be hesitant to let my website be built on something like Astro.js. I’m sure its great tech and builds fast websites, but you’re also stuck in that eco system.

One of the big perks of WordPress is that any WP developer can practically take over an existing site. Sure, most will probably want to build something new instead of work on older stuff made by someone else, but the point is you *can* and there are tons of developers out there.

I manage dozens of sites not made by me. Freelancers who stopped, end-users that were unhappy with their previous WP management. I would reckon that’s a lot harder the more obscure the platform gets.

  4. wordpress is very userfriendly .you can manage it easily . if you need WordPress website I can help you

  5. For me it’s all about the level of support and performance. We use Astro.js for our enterprise customers where they pay a premium which gives them more access to developers for content changes. We use WordPress for our lower paying customers this way the clients or our support team can easily go in and make changes without getting the developers involved.

  6. WordPress has a pretty solid rep for being the go-to for a lot of agencies for a bunch of reasons. It’s super versatile, which means it can grow with your business, and you’ve got a massive selection of themes and plugins that can help give each of your clients’ sites a unique touch. Plus, you’re looking at a huge community for support and resources, which is always handy when you’re in the trenches and need a hand or some inspiration.

As for learning, diving into the official WordPress Codex or checking out the WordPress section on [WordPress.tv](http://WordPress.tv) can be super helpful. For a more structured learning path, platforms like Udemy or LinkedIn Learning have comprehensive courses ranging from beginner to advanced levels. The investment in learning WordPress could really pay off in terms of operational flexibility and the ability to cater to a wider client base.

  7. At this subredd almost everybody will advocate WP.

Be aware that WP is expendable blogging CMS; not multipurpose CMS like Drupal, Joomla, ProcessWire. Neither modern headless CMS like Kirby, Stapi, Statamic, etc.

WP developers tend to have approach: “if you have a hammer, everytnih is nail”; often blind for anything out this landscape. It reminds me on business letters created in Excel.

Use tool you find good for ordered job. Client, mostly, does not care, nor have a clue about used technology.

PS. I an not against WP. I have used it, I use it and I will use it. But, if there are better tool for some cases I will use that one.

  8. Because when your gets more business than you can handle, it’s very easy to find another designer who knows WordPress.
