If I enable plugin auto-update, how long do they take to actually update?

Hi all.

I’ve enabled auto-update on all my websites, and sometimes I get automated emails to say that some updates were made.

But I am also frequently having to manually update the plugins. Am I updating them before they’ve had the chance to auto-update?

Will they eventually update themselves if I don’t manually update them?
