I'm in the process of migrating a Squarespace site to WordPress (Avada, classic theme) and I'm jumping in to the deep end.
I know there are mixed feelings in the sub, but I'm already in the pool and can't change at this point.
For those of you who do use Avada, what did you wish someone told you before you started? If anyone is willing to answer a few questions via DM, I'd appreciate it!

The mixed feelings are only from those who don’t know what they’re doing. Avada is incredible if you get stuck they have fantastic documentation and a yourube channel with video explainers too. Is there anything specific you wish to know?
Pick one of their [pre-built websites](https://avada.website/) and customize from there!
Honestly, I have tried about a dozen or so Themes by now.
Around 6 years ago, I bough the Avada theme. (Which is a very solid theme, among the fastest of themes and has some beautiful demo content)
Yet for the life of me, I could not figure it out.
I tried playing around with it for 3 days and I could not do anything.
To me, the theme did not folllow the typical WordPress “workflow” or even the look and feel of page builders.
Maybe I was having a bad week or something, but abandoned it really quickly.
I have heard since then they have redesigned it, but I don’t know
Ive used avada for a few sites. Documentation is good. The support is good, they respond quickly.
I didnt get a full grasp until maybe my fourth avada site. It can be complex and a bit of a pain when editing prebuilt sites, but when you get the hang of it, you can customize it how you like.
My advice, click through everything. Click through all the options on the avada dashboard. Familiarize yourself with avada layout or sections and how they work. When live editing click all tabs on the left and see how they relate to the avada dashboard. Read the documentation.
Tip: you can disable rows so they are not visible to visitors, but admin can see and edit them in edit live or edit backend. Useful if there is a cool section you might want to use later and dont want to delete.
