I have two WP accounts (that I know of). I created them over ten years ago when I made a website for a small business. I used that for several years and then stopped.
For the past 4 years, I’ve been using a WP account for another website. I use it many times a week with no problems.
I recently had to give a tech the login info. He said it didn’t work. I went to [wordpress.com]) and [wordpress.org]) and he was right. They don’t work. The username I use to login to my WP Dashboard every day doesn’t exist.
I logged into the other two accounts, one of which had no websites the other had a site I played around with years ago.
I went to WP support. No luck.
The first picture is me logging in with a username WP says doesn’t exist.
The second one is the WP Dashboard that username takes me to and which I work on almost daily.
I’d like to think the old song was right when it said, “I ain’t quite as dumb as I seem”, but it may be wrong.
Any help GREATLY appreciated!

No pictures in your post. Can you share a link to the site that the tech guy needs access to?
Also, WordPress.org is not a place log in for your site. That just where you can download software. A login there would most likely be the same as WordPress.com.
WordPress is not like Facebook. There is no central login to access your site. Your site is an island, with its own user accounts and login names and such.
To log into your site, go to your site.
Can you access the cpanel for the site? If so, open phpmyadmin, go to your site db, find the wp users table, find a user to login with, change encoding to md5, and type your new desired password. Press the go button and your password is instantly changed.
There’s also an ftp option if you can’t access cpanel
