This is so weird. I’ve never seen this happen before. I exported blog posts from a WordPress install and imported the XML file into a new WordPress install using the basic WordPress importer and exporter.
As I was going through the blog posts that were imported on the new WordPress install I noticed that there was an unformatted form that didn’t have any CSS. It seems to be the code from a form that was on every blog page (template I assume) from the old WordPress site.
What’s crazier is that I CANNOT see this code in the WordPress builder whether I’m in the visual editor or the code editor.
The only way I can see the code for the form is when I edit each blog post with the Divi builder, (select use existing content since this is the first time using Divi on that page), edit the module where the content lives, and select the text editor to see all of the basic code for the post.
From here I have to select all of the form code and delete it and then save the page in order to get rid of it.
Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this before. The site has close to 100 blog posts. đŸ˜’

That’s not surprising. Using the XML method literally just brings your post content. No styling or css or images or anything theme-related is exported. That method is pretty useless TBH.
