Importing existing HTML site into WordPress to use ACF

[ad_1]

So I built this website for a friend, and as my first attempt at fully building a website. I didn’t put it on wordpress or anything, and just FTP it to his domain hosting platform.

He’d like to be able to add edit the content himself, so I need to put it onto WordPress. I’ve seen a tutorial for importing the site as a custom theme that seems simple enough. But once I have the site in wordpress how do I then go about making the existing elements ACF fields?

From all the tutorials i’ve seen for ACF they all seem to start from scratch, so I can’t get my head around how I’d do it.

The site is [https://125heritage.co.uk/](https://125heritage.co.uk/)

I’d like to make most of the content a field that he can then edit.

Would appreciate any help!

  1. It will be much quicker and easier to build from scratch.
You can import/ transfer HML to a WP based site but it’ll be so clunky you are better off rebuilding especially if you’re wanting to use ACF.

And, looking at the site, it should only take a weekend.
