Infuriating: “Server cannot Process Image…” Unable to add ANY images

[ad_1]

I keep getting the following error “The server cannot process the image. This can happen if the server is busy or does not have enough resources to complete the task. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2560 pixels”

It seems people pop up with the same issue but no clear solution was ever posted. I am at my wits end. The images are not too large I have tried micro images 10 pixels by 10 pixel . NOTHING will upload anymore. I am using wordpress with elementor with siteground hosting and I can’t figure out whose issue this is stemming from.

My siteground says I have 10gb for my webiste and 9.35gb free. How the hell can I start to debug this issue? I am unable to finish my website because of this…. Nothing I do seems to be fixing it and I am just at a complete loss…

  1. If only there was some kind of logging mechanism that would tell you the exact error.

You are either missing GD or ImageMagick extensions, SimpleXML extension, or you’ve installed a plug-in that hijacks WordPress’s image editor class, or have a permissions issue.

You should enable PHP logging and then examine the log files when the error occurs.

  2. Uploading graphics is very CPU intensive but on a host like Siteground you should not be seeing this very often. Contact the host.
