Interview Advice

[ad_1]

Recently applied for a wordpress based job on my school’s campus thinking my entry-level skills could get me by (now realizing that may have been a mistake). Whilst i have worked with wordpress in the past, in preparation for possible interview prompts i realized the work done in the past was very surface level.

I pretty much used some plugins/themes to create some projects, it came out decent and i thought i was the shit.

My experience includes creating a few starter web applications using the LAMP stack for some non profs. More recently ive worked on a project mainly with PHP and MySql. Not an expert, but quick learner.

Completely last minute since the interview is tmr, but how screwed am i? Any tips?

  1. Look at the website you think you’ll be working on. Figure out what theme and plugins it’s using, and set them up on Local ([https://localwp.com](https://localwp.com)), start getting familiar with them. Not really a lot else you can do if the interview is tomorrow.
