I’m using a free plugin for work but I need to tweak the way it displays a few things. This will require editing 3 lines of code. Any issues with this method? This plugin will not be updated. Thanks.
Sure you can edit a plugin, but as soon as it updates your edits will be gone.
If it updates behind the scenes your changes will be gone. You can also edit the plugin’s header so that the WordPress update system won’t know that the plug-in needs to be updated.
