Is it possible to limit access to specific Gravity Forms through code snippets without buying a plug-in?

My company has a number of forms built with Gravity Forms which serve different purposes. I am looking for a way to limit access to the entries of specific forms for specific users. For example, only allow Human Resources access to the Employment Application but not allow them access to program applications.

I know that Gravity Forms does not have built in functionality to limit access to individual forms. Although it is possible to change permissions for different users, it is either all forms or no forms.

CosmicGiant does have a plug-in that will accomplish exactly what I want, but it costs $149 per year.

I’m wondering if there is a way to accomplish what I’m asking through code. Something like **Grant user roll ‘Human Resources’ read access to Gravity Forms form 15**.
