Is it possible to write code blocks with syntax highlighting in WordPress?

I’m using Classic Editor and there doesn’t seem to be even basic support for code blocks to the point that leading white space is even ignored hence cannot even add proper indentation to the code examples.

Suddenly regretting not building this website with Statamic *sad emoji*
