Is there a plugin to fetch data to autofill text fields?

I’ve got a site with a lot of prices in it, but prices keep changing. I want to put “tags” that fetch the current price rather can write the price in static text in my posts.

For example: “At {wheat_currentprice} per bushel, the price of wheat is down to almost half of its price last May.”

Is there a plugin (or feature) that does this?
