So I have 7 plugins to update. There is an update on my theme and WordPress 6.5.
Does it matter the order when updating things?
Is there a suggested order?
Or can I do whichever order I want?
First time I will do updates myself. I had a friend who helped me out with website maintenance. He is moving to Europe and won’t be able to do it any longer.
The theme is a paid theme from outside [Wordpress.org](http://Wordpress.org) repository.

No it doesn’t matter.
I personally do them in the order of your title. Plugins and themes usually are backwards compatible with older versions of WordPress, while core updates may break plugins. So updating plugins is unlikely to break anything while updating core could. If you do a Google search on the topic you are going to see 50% what bluesix said and 50% what I said. 100% say make a backup before you do anything, then just wing it
