Is there a way I can rewrite URLs to accommodate an expired WordPress.com domain?

[ad_1]

I have a wordpress.com account and and using my own DNS to point my domain to it. My professional subscription expired and I’m unable to renew it right now. I’m thinking of setting up my own server and pointing my DNS to it and am trying to figure out if I can rewrite URLs so that the old URLs will not break. Is this possible?

  1. I’m assuming your current domain is [blah.wordpress.com](https://blah.wordpress.com)? If so, because you’re on the free plan now and can’t install a plugin, you’re out of luck in terms of setting up a redirect, which has to be done on the host.
