My FCP takes like 6-8 seconds, I‘m using Botiga theme (WooCommerce), only have one product atm. I‘m using caching so after visiting the website once it loads smoothly, but the first click on each page takes ages. Already deferring js, what other optimizations can I make? Thanks!

Hey u/Crabby_Crab without website URL or more specs it’s difficult to say…considering its an e-commerce hosting play a big role here since pages that can’t be cached are served from the hosting. So first thing i would do is checking and optimizing the off-site part. Which hosting are you using? It’s a shared or managed/vps plan? Are you also using any object caching such as redis/memcached?
Once hosting (off-site) is fully optimized i would take a look at the website itself, the resources loaded before visitors starts to interact with it. Optimizing images, by compressing and converting them to reduce their size. Removing unnecessary or unused scripts and styles and delaying 3rd party or non-critical resources.
