First off, I’m not a coder. (I know a wee bit of html and css, but that barely counts.) So I don’t know how to evaluate whether the plugins I’m using are well-coded or bloated. I’m looking for opinions on the suite of plugins I’ve been using (With Spectra One theme):
– Updraft Plus
– Wordfence
– Kadence Blocks
– All in One SEO
– Site Kit by Google
– Forminator (or sometimes Ninja Forms)
– WP Super Cache
– Twentig (manage Google Fonts, add some CSS animations)
– Hotjar
Are there alternatives you’d recommend instead?

I would go for:
– WPvivid (backups)
– A good hosting company (security features)
– Site Enhancements (Added security)
– Elementor Pro (has forms built-in, you can upload custom fonts, and use custom code)
– Rank Math
– Site Kit by Google (sure)
– Litespeed cache (use the CDN)
Everyone has their toolbox preferences, which mostly depend on personal experiences and the chosen WordPress ecosystem. There are no right or wrong choices, just the ones that suit you and your business case more or less, and this is my personal [WordPress toolbox](https://www.reddit.com/r/WordPress_org/comments/147gt1q/must_have_wordpress_plugins_and_themes/) choice.
* **Good host** and you do not need any backup, cache, security plugin – these issues are covered at https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/ under Security and Performance
* **SEO** is more complex than plugin choice – https://ahrefs.com/seo – TheSEOFramework is the simplest and the easiest plugin
* **Forms** – Forminator (Free) or GravityForms (Paid) with Captcha and Honeypot/WPArmour protection
* **Blocks** – GenerateBlocks and Spectra
* **Mail** – PostSMTP as alternative for DNS zone editing
