There’s this popular youtuber that gives people a premium theme plugin for free if they buy hosting using his referral code. I bought hosting using his referral code to get a discount on the hosting plan. Out of curiosity, I sent him the invoice and now I have the premium theme plugin.
In the email, he has asked to never update the plugin. I know nothing about blogging and am on a budget. Would it be a bad idea to use this plugin in the beginning and then buy the premium one after a few months or is it risky in some way?
My plan B is to go for free version of Kadence theme. Please help!
