Is WordPress slow, my plugins, or something else?

[ad_1]

I don’t know if I should be impressed or disappointed with these scores.

Basic WP site using Elementor and OceanWP with only 6 plugins active. I’m on BigScoots.

There is only 1 image on my site (logo), 5 icons, and text for the rest (150 words). Basically a 1 page test site for now.

I think such a basic site should be blazing fast, what do you think?

  1. I am guessing either bad host or poorly written code. Without the actual url, it’s hard to say

  2. Look into the details of the report from PageSpeed and address each suggestion. (You could also share that without the URL for us here.)

Are the images too large? Too many different CSS and JS? Are you using a caching or performance plugin?

  3. Lol FCP what did you do?? What is it ? Slider? Animations? Share a screen of you don’t want Share link.

For the Host, i need FID to see

Images : compressed jpeg? Webp? Compressed Wepb?

  4. It’s you. You need to optimize.

The White House is a WordPress site. It loads fast even under a Reddit hug.

Also, it is one of the most attacked sites in the world and still loads fast and the most secured site in the entire world.
