Issue with multiple title tags on the same page.

[ad_1]

Hello dear Rank Math community.

I scanned my website with Bing webmaster scan tool and I received this message in one of my notices:

‘The page contains multiple titles. As a rule, you should only have a single <title> per page on your website. How to fix?

Remove redundant <title> tags from the page source, so that only one <title> tag exists.’

I have no idea how to fix this problem even after several days of searching for information on the internet. I don’t know how to remove redundant title tags from the page source or use html code.

The only SEO plugin I use is RankMath. I don’t think other plugins interfere with my SEO although you can never be sure. I use Pathway theme.

I don’t want to deactivate my theme or plugins to check the source of the problem because I am still a beginner in building websites and this is my first website and I am afraid the website will crash if I do so, plus it’s already online.

Is there any specific WordPress plugin to fix multiple tags problems? I checked and didn’t see any, apart from the SEO plugins.

I scanned my website with screaming frog site audit tool and it seems I have two distinct problems related to page titles.

  1. Pages which have multiple title tags (I still don’t understand what this really means).
  2. Pages which have duplicate meta titles (I think this is because I still did not add a unique meta title for one of my pages – the page called ‘About’) and perhaps some other pages have a similar meta title. What is the difference between problem 1 and problem 2?

Can someone help me step by step to solve these problems?
