Keeping site going after OG blogger has died

[ad_1]

So, I need help.

My dad ran a blog through WordPress for ages – like since the beginning of blogging being a thing – he had/has readers from all over the world. He was VERY into it, loved it, and considered it his job. He passed away suddenly Dec. 2021.

My mom and I have been keeping the blog going ever since – we post everyday – we have his readers sending US items and articles to post. etc. etc. It’s a labor of love at this point to us too.

The issue is – we have very limited technical knowledge – and we don’t know what we don’t know.. but our Google ads are no longer bringing in any earnings. $0 for this month. (Ads ARE still being displayed)

I’ve tried to get support from WordPress – but the ‘contact us’ automated chat leads me to tools/earn, but from there I don’t have what they’ve told me to look at. And I can’t find where to get more help.

What I need is a human – a real honest to God, live human to look at my site and tell me 1. how to fix this earning/google ad thing, and 2. look at all the other plug-ins and such and tell me what we really need and what we don’t.

My mom (and I) would be heartbroken to discontinue the blog at this point, but with the fees she’s paying to Godaddy and who knows what else – she is counting on the blog earnings to offset.

Can anyone out there help me find where to get this kind of support? TIA
