I recently took over content management for our public transit agency’s web site – https://www.viainfo.net
I have some basic html and web design knowledge – but occasionally run into coding issue beyond my scope.
The original developer created a drop down menu using the Google Language Translator plugin to translate our website to the desired language.
Most languages load properly. However Filipino and Persian will not load/work, despite displaying on the drop-down menu.
As a transit agency that receives federal funding, we are required to have those particular languages in addition to what we have.
I have gone into the Google Language Translator Main Settings and activated (check box) “Filipino” and “Persian”
I also have gone into Appearance and added the following Google Languages as additional rows to the drop down menu:
[glt language=”Persian” label=”Persian”][glt language=”Filipino” label=”Tagalog”]
Both appear in the drop down menu – but neither activate.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
