Learning to build theme from scratch, don’t want to pay a hundred bucks for staging capabilities. What are my options? Can I order a domain for a year and make a new site and upload my tester theme there?
Was hard to write this without using the words ‘hosting’ and ‘domain’ to get the post approved.
Basically, my hosting will charge me a hundred bucks more to have staging capabilities.
Is it possible for me to upload the theme files i create to a fake testing site I create, which would be way cheaper, or do I absolutely need staging to upload a theme I created?
Develop it locally using wp studio or local
Does your hosting plan not allow an add-on domain or a subdomain? You can just install WordPress on a subdomain and use it for your testing.
