I'm currently trying to build a career in freelance webdesign. I started teaching wordpress to myself almost 2 years ago and worked on Fiverr ever since. I want to leave Fiverr because its really a race to the bottom and clients are often unrealistic and a bit weird. I build my own website, made an Instagram & LinkedIn account and now I would be ready to welcome clients via my own website and socials. However, I dont really know how to reach potential clients. I seo optimized my page and made a fitting GoogleMyBusiness Account and now my website gets a couple impressions and clicks and my GMB Account ranks quiet well in local search for webdesigners but its not enough to really get clients so my question to you guys is: How can I find clients and what are your to-go's for more customers. I specialized myself on my local area and my website approaches small and medium businesses in the area, but how can I really reach these guys.
I thought about google ads and cold calling, should I give it a try?
