Link text color being overridden by content text color in Site Editor?

[ad_1]

I’ve been trying to use Site Editor to update the design of the WordPress site. I used to use HTML/CSS back in the day but figured I should give this new method a shot but it’s getting frustrating.

I’ve set the color scheme and I put the color of links as red with a slight variation of it on hover. This seems to have worked on links outside of the content (though the header links aren’t included and I don’t want them to be anyway).

However, links within the content are somehow overridden. I’ve checked the CSS and there are two listings for the specific elements and the one with the black text color gets priority.

Since there is no stylesheet to edit with Site Editor, I don’t know how best to approach this. I’d like to fix it within the CMS itself but if I have to go into the JSON files or something else, I can do that.

Here’s the site:
