I am admittedly pretty early on in my site building career, this problem has stumped me and I have searched for too long without finding an answer, so need to ask for wisdom here. My website’s home page should just be header and footer, displaying latest posts ideally.
My new website (Astra theme), shows “coming soon page” only on the root URL (mototechniq.com), however, if you go to mototechniq.com/contact us for example – the site works. Additionally, the site logo has the mototechniq.com URL embedded, so if you click on it, I want it to take it to the homepage but it currently does not.
What I have tried so far, with no luck:
– WP-Admin > Settings > Reading > Homepage set to [mototechniq.com](http://mototechniq.com)
– WP-Admin > Settings > General > WordPress URL and site address URL are both the base [Mototechniq.com](http://Mototechniq.com)
– Permalinks updated and saved to post name
– Astra theme > Homepage Settings > Display latest posts (this is all I want the homepage to be)
– Verified that the host shows the WordPress site URL as the root URL
I am stumped; I want to continue to upload and add to the website, but only if I can get the clean homepage set up. I know I can create a separate static page and make a [mototechniq.com/home](http://mototechniq.com/home) as my homepage, but it can and should be doable to make the root URL the homepage and only display the latest posts.
Thank you all in advance!
