Locked out due to insecure password, confirmation email never arrives

[ad_1]

Hi, all! I’m locked out of my wordpress site and I’m officially stumped.

I’ve been building a hobby site, and as it was still unlisted and unfinished I didn’t have a terribly secure username/password combo. Nobody knew about it except me, so who was going to attack it? Well, WordPress flagged the site as insecure and locked me out pending a password change. Here’s the problem: the confirmation email never comes through. I can’t change the password.

My best guess is that I must have mistyped the admin email on the back end. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me, but I’m open to other suggestions. But either way: what do I do now?

And yes, I checked my spam folder.
