Over the last couple of months, I’ve been thinking about how cool it would be to develop a plugin that, once installed, would manage a VPS. Why? well because it would help people with less knowledge concentrate on managing the WordPress sites, and this would cut out the middle man, so to speak. So I was just about to start talks with my team and then realised that there might be similar things in development or already developed. so as to not step on anyone’s toes. If there is something that is fully developed and, of course, working, not buggy, please let us know. Equivalently, if you think this is mad, then say so. But nicely, please! You mean like dealing with a DO Droplet through api?
Never come across a plugin that manages a server. Unless you actually meant plugins, themes and WP core updates? For that, there are platforms like ManageWP, InfinitWP, etc.
For a server management there’s stuff like cpanel, plesk and runcloud.
The biggest issue I have with this is that the account on the server that the site runs under should never have the permissions to do things to the server itself, like update.
