I'm posting here, as this would require someone with wordpress development knowledge. I apologize if this is the wrong sub.
Several years ago I build the website www.carbot.org. It's an online vehicle maintenance tracker – meaning that if you change the oil in your car, you record it here, enter your current mileage and estimated yearly mileage, and we'll email you when it's time to change it again. There are a bunch of pre-defined maintenance items, and you can add your own custom items. It's all powered by wordpress.
Over the years, this site has become very popular with both individuals as well as companies. Think of the local plumber who runs 5+ trucks. They seem to love it, and record fleet maintenance there.
There are currently 4,968 user added vehicles with maintenance being tracked.
It doesn't make any money, and I don't charge. I had intended to include affiliate links in the emails. I.e. time to change your oil – here's a link to it on amazon.
Why am I getting rid of this? I don't have time to run the site. It was on autopilot for years, but eventually changes in PHP, and in wordpress have broken some aspects of the site (like updating vehicle mileage).
I spent the better part of a year building this site. It runs on a custom wordpress plugin that I created. I'm emotionally invested in this site, and want it to work. I get emails from users saying that things aren't working right, and I really want to help them, but don't have the time.
What would you get? The domain names www.carbot.org, www.boatbot.org, www.cyclebot.org. All files, and everything that is required to run the site.
Who do I want to give this to? I want someone who:
- will promise to fix / promote the site
- has their own hosting. If it's Cpanel then all the better (that would make the transfer easy).
- has a general understanding of cars.
I really don't want to give this away just to see the project die, so only reach out if you are serious about taking this on. It's most likely not much work, and there is a chance for real profit with this idea.

I don’t have the time to take on something like this for free personally, but still very generous of you. I just wanted to point out your boatbot and cyclebot domains don’t work. Boatbot just shows an index of files, and cyclebot just shows an error saying you’re missing the mySQL extension…
