Lose the ability to edit accounts when I add a new account with admin role

Hi:)

Whenever I create a new user account with admin role (for developers), I lose the ability to edit other users. By default, I should be the only Administrators since I have a single site. When I log in with my credentials, there’s the name of the last developer added to the Users account. I log out and when I try again, the developer’s name is still there. He has the ability to delete all the accounts and I don’t.

What’s causing this problem? Can you please point me to the right direction? I’ve been reading about this, but I’m not able to fins a solution. Any help is sincerely appreciated.
