Migrating from nulled to licensed theme

[ad_1]

Hello.

I wanted to try this theme and I downloaded a nulled version (doing something super unethical and exposing myself to big and obvious risks). After testing it for a long time and having built a site I decided to purchase the full license because I liked it very much.

I downloaded the “official” theme and replaced the nulled one, inserting the license.

I want to make sure there are no backdoors or other types of malware inside the installation. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

* I compared the files of the two themes (official and nulled) and they only differed by 3 lines, which were the ones that set the license as “active” (I used [Meld]), recommended by a user on this sub).
I also re-downloaded the nulled theme thinking that perhaps it might have modified its code after installing malware, so as to appear legit, but the result was the same;
* I ran a deep scan with WordFence, which found nothing;
* I manually checked the `wp_config.php` file comparing it with the sample file and didn’t find anything;
* I checked the users (also in the DB) and didn’t found anything.

At this point I think I was lucky and I could rest easy. Did I miss something to check? Are there other things I should do?

Thank you in advance for the answers.
