I am asking you all, “Which of you sells physical goods on a hosted WordPress site today”? I am migrating (and rebuilding) my band’s web site to Hostgator /Wordpress (though I find the WordPress site more primitive than our previous method!). Yes, we have digital distribution and sales of music in many places. However, our previous method of **selling CDs and T shirts** used a paypal “button” that seems to be no longer available. We could create a Paypal QR code on our web site, that seems do-able. However, I **prefer a clickable web site button** or something. Woocommerce looks like an option, but probably costs more than we earn. Who among you is doing this in a good way, right now? **Seems like relatively low volume sales and Woocommerce don’t work?** There is no way I could spend $40 per month on a woocommerce account. We already have physical CD sales on Amazon – but inexpensive band T shirts and autographed CDs come direct from the band. Tell me your low volume online sales ways!

Woocom can be free, just depends on your needs. There are a ton of extensions for it, most shipping and payment gateways are 79$ usd last I checked. Woocom might be a bit overkill.
But as a musician my self I think merch on a bandcamp page might be an easier option. I know it can be done, but I have not done it personally. Even Facebook market place, depending on your target audience.
I’d try the paypal button again, troubleshoot that until you can get it working. If it was working for you before, no need to go WooCommerce, that is overkill unless you need extra features.
You should be fine with Woocom free version unless you have complicated shipping methods, for example.
Band member here also, Bandcamp is the normal way to go with some merch especially if you don’t have a lot. You can always link to it from your site.
Some artists link to a separate store at BigCartel with a subdomain. ex: store.yourbandsite dot com.
WooCommerce is free – there are paid add-ons but you probably don’t need any. Even the basic PayPal payments add-on is free. It’s a little more work to set up, but you could sell lots of different items once it’s all set up.
