My block editor was being super-laggy and I finally found the culprit: Grammarly Browser Extension

I’ve been ->||<- this close to giving up on the block editors since they just start lagging after a few minutes. This morning, I was trying to post a blog article (No images, >250 words, a couple of stat blocks) and the block editor started lagging with every click. For example, I’d click a block, the computer fan would spin up, and then… 15-20 seconds later… I could edit the block… 15-20 seconds later, the edit would appear…

I checked on a bunch of different sites and found a couple of proposed solutions like caching plugins, disabling unused plugins, etc. While I was waiting for a save, I started removing Chrome Browser extensions.

**As soon as I turned off Grammarly, the block editor was immediately responsive and I’ve had no issues since.**

Thank god… I was so close to giving up. Just wanted to leave this here in case anyone else is struggling.
