My own frontpage header image is being resized in Astra theme

I have the Astra theme with a fashion template. Now I want to replace the default header image (1200 \* 628) with my own image (1200 \* 300) but when I change the image it is cropped and resized to 1200 \* 628 which is very ugly. How can I prevent this? This is the image I want to replace:
