My Websites got “taken over”

[ad_1]

I got this NameCheap email today and then my website’s control (hosted on the same server space) somehow got taken over. I run school websites, so it was not really enjoyable thing on a school weekday. I am not able to even log-in to the WP-Admin page too.. can just get in to the C-Panel section. All website data has been wiped out.

while i am getting the NameCheap team to resolve (getting access and maybe hopefully a backup of the data) it for me, **whats the best way to prevent such events?**
