I was updating my site for the first time in a long while and I noticed new blocks added that contained paragraphs of text about dysfunction remedies with hyperlinks, but when I look at the site that text is not visible. Some one or some bot inserted this text into my posts? Has this happened to anyone? What’s the point if it is not visible and any searches would just lead to my site which has nothing to do with that spam?

Your site has been hacked / has a vulnerability. This happens due to old plugins (or theme) not being kept up to date. Find and remove any old plugins, then run a Wordfence scan to confirm the malware is removed.
If the text is in the page, it’s visible to Google, but it will get a low ranking due to having low visibility. It’s an old black hat SEO “trick” which search engines are aware of and handle appropriately.
