Nav Philosophy for Custom Theme

Do you use the same nav for desktop and mobile? How about if you’ve got an aux nav? We’ve always used the same primary menu for desktop and mobile, and if we have an aux nav, we usually hide that on mobile, but put the items into the primary nav and only show them on mobile (if that makes sense). Anyone using an additional nav for mobile-only? It seems like an extra thing to maintain, but I can see some advantages. I’d love to hear your approach.
