Looking for help/ideas.
Client wants a website where users will purchase items on amazon and recieve product with a qr code within it. The QR code will lead to a page on the website that will have a video for people who purchased that specific product.
The issue here is that page is to only be viewed by people with an account to the website who purchased that specific item and that item they purchased on amazon has to now be linked to the account they create so they only have access to the videos of the product they purchased.
My thoughts here are to just have the qr code be sent to the create an account page, but I’m trying to figure out the best way to have the item they purchased on Amazon now be linked to the account they created on the website.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Haven’t thought this through, but this is what I would look into –
Add a (hidden?) ‘product’ field to the registration form.
Add a URL parameter with the product ASIN to the QR code.
Fill the ‘product’ field from the URL parameter and do whatever you need to do with that.
This does not cover customers that are already registered before they buy, or additional purchases…
You would need to integrate with Amazon’s API , like this [https://developer.amazon.com/apps-and-games/login-with-amazon])
But is there any actual reason they need an account on amazon – why not just make the URL difficult to find and block it from search engines? e.g /abc-123-xyz-456?
