My client has a website built on Wix. The domain is registered with Network Solutions. I built a better site with WordPress, which is also hosted on Network Solutions. I want the domain to point to the new site, not the one on Wix.
I contacted both Wix and Network Solutions and neither of their solutions worked. I tried changing the url through the database under web_options. Now I can’t log into the backend of my WordPress site without changing it back to the default. I was told to update the Domain IP on Wix. Didn’t work either.
Any ideas how to make this work?

You need to change the domain record to point it to your new IP (in NS settings) then replace the URL in database.
You need to get into dns management of the domain (assuming it’s network solutions) and change the dns entry to point it to the right host/ip.
