Hi, i’ve been tasked with rebuilding a website.
I want to build from the scratch up without deleting the live page or affecting the plugins they have installed.
How would i go about this?

Start with a clean install in a staging environment and only import/port over the content and media you need from the live build. Don’t make changes on the live site, aside from installing export plugin if necessary. Build in staging and then launch that copy after archiving the live site.
Localwp.com. Download and install Local. Hold your site, then when you’re done, migrate it to the production server using a migration plugin like Updraft or WPVivid.
