Need help. Noob here. I am creating a website with WordPress and have chosen the Sydney theme with starter kit.
On many instances, my customizations aren’t working. And it seems that random changes are happening. Something is broken and I can’t make out what.
Does anything I said make sense? Anyone faced this issue before?

I know you’re frustrated. WordPress has a bit of a learning curve.
Do you have a link you can share? And can you provide a specific example – what you want changed, how you’re attempting to do it, and what is happening instead?
We need more to go on than that. What customizations are taking? How are you trying to customize? What environment are you building in? LocalWP? A live server? Prod or staging? What plugins do you have installed and active?

When I started doing web development ten years ago, I foolishly did my learning work on Go Daddy’s Managed WP hosting, which makes heavy use of caching. For months, I was super frustrated at why only about 30% of my code (CSS changes mostly) didn’t work, and then I realized I just needed to clear the website cache. It could be that some of your problems are cache-related.
