Hey all! I had a couple of questions about applying a new theme to the site I’m working on. For some context, my friend hired me to take care of his Google Ads and his site is awful. I attempted to spruce up the site but it’s too far gone so I figured starting fresh would allow me to add the proper text to align with the ads I’m building and make it usable. My expertise is more in advertising/conversion. I’m not an expert with WordPress or Elementor but figured I’d be able to at least set something simple to make it look more professional.
The questions I had were the following.
1) If I purchase a template from a site like themeforest. How easy is it to integrate the new theme into their current set up. Do I have to delete the current one or can I toggle between them until its ready.
2) Can I add the theme to the current URL or will I have to redirect until I’m finished.
3) Should we splurge on Elementor pro to do this or will the free plugin do the job.
4) Whats the easiest way to approach this. (I have a developer handy to give me a hand)

I am a web developer by trade. I would recommend building the site in a staging area and then completely swapping out their existing WordPress setup. You can lots with the free Elementor but I pay for it for all of my clients to keep auto-updates.
