Newbie: Best Backups for emergency restores

[ad_1]

Hi!

I have inherited maintenance of a website for a small business. I have personally had a WordPress website for many years and never had this issue, but I want to make sure we have the necessary backups.

I am not a web developer, but we recently had our website design updated. I installed UpdraftPlus– and it is backing up every 2 weeks to a Google Drive. The host also stores a copy. I want to have one more plug-in for protection. I have seen people here recommend Duplicator (it doesn’t seem super intuitive initially), BlogVault, AIO Migration. I’m happy to pay for a pro plan. I’m looking for one that would ‘1 click restore’ and be easy if there was an issue and/or provide support. We don’t update the website that often (except blog posts, which I can keep copies of off the server).

What would you recommend? For some reason, I have anxiety about this.

  1. We use 3 backup security layers:

1/ hostings daily backup (for the last 30 day/SiteGround)

2/ BlogVault SaaS daily backups on their servers (only for the biggest sites as we have only 30 of their lifetime licenses)

3/ All in one WP migration plugin offsite backups on pCloud (weekly and/or monthly backups)

Since you referenced the “1-click restore” feature and mentioned being “off the server,” I think BlogVault SaaS would be the ideal solution for your business needs.
