I’ve started a new blog and have done a bit of research on newsletter plugins and the abundance of them out there. Most of them far exceed what I am needing for now so I figured I would ask for others experience.

Here are the basics of what I’d like to have (ideally for free until I can grow subscriber counts):
1. The ability to have multiple “newsletters” to subscribe to
1. One of them being a one time only introductory email
2. The other would be a recurring email that contains new posts on the blog

I’m fine if this requires multiple subscriber lists to manage, but unsure what all my options are so far.

What’s the trigger for sending an email (and template) to a new subscriber once they have “subscribed” using the latest native WordPress Newsletter function? I can’t find any details other other than setting up a “subscribe” block.
