No H1 tag in blog Titles

Hi guys! I did a site audit and found out that my blog’s Post Titles are not in H1. I then did an Inspect page and realized that the title text is not wrapped in H1 tag. How can I change or adjust that?

I am using Twenty Twenty Two theme and I would be grateful for simple instructions and explanations. I’m not a professional (no coding experience).

  1. Im a professional. If you need help, message me. Either create a child themeand blog template or use a code snippet.

  2. As standard the post/page title tags in the Twenty Twenty Two theme are H1 tags. Are you sure you’ve not modified the templates?

In the TwentyTwentyTwo theme this can be done by going to “Appearance” > “Editor”.

It might take you straight into the page template, so if it does, click the down arrow at the top of the page where it says “Page” and select “Browse all templates”.

From here you can click into the “Single Post” and “Page” templates, then click where it says “Post Title”. There will be a bit that says H1 (should say that). If not, click on it and change it to H1. Then click “Save” in the top right.

When viewing the source of your single posts (e.g. blog posts), the title should now be wrapped in a H1 tag.

    Repeat for the page template.
