Of course, this is a problem that can’t necessarily be solved as you will never know exactly how much a project will cost, but I am having a hard time even coming up with general ball park estimates on project costs as a beginner.
I have a wage in place that I would like to charge, $30/hr (I know that’s small but I don’t want to charge outrageous amounts when I’m still early on in my learning), but every quote must come with a cost of the project, right? Is this cost just an idea or is it a hard line on where the project will cost?
In an ideal world, I would like to just be paid hourly for my projects, but I understand that initial payments and such keep the client from running away. So, I just want some help in understanding what to charge and what exactly that total value is at the end of a quote.
I’m still very early on in learning to freelance so I apologize for these ridiculous questions, thanks for any and all help.
