i’ve just noticed that the number of email subscribers to my blog, which was previously over 2,000, has suddenly plummeted to 144. As far as i know i’ve done nothing to cause this (in recent times i’ve simply been posting and occasionally updating plugins as usual), so i’d really like help to understand what’s happened. A quick check on the Wayback Machine shows the usual figure (2,154 subscribers) earlier this month:

i’m guessing that 2,000 people haven’t all decided at once to unsubscribe! Can anyone help? Are all those subscribers lost, or can i somehow salvage their information from the database and reinstate them?
