I have just updated one of my websites to version 5.9.6. Before the update I had already increased the maximum length of the textarea field to 1500 characters.
During the subsequent test, I also copied a text with just over 1500 characters into the textarea and found that only 400 characters of it ended up in the field.
As a result, I suspect that there is an error somewhere. My setting of 1500 characters should also refer to the copying in.
PS: I also have the character counter active for the textarea.
Can you reproduce this in your test environment?
