I run a tutorial YouTube channel, and I take the content from my YouTube channel and create articles on my website. The YouTube video shows up early in the post because that’s what I want people to watch, and then I post the steps and the images. I’m currently putting the images in a Soliloquy slider that opens into a lightbox. The average article has 5-7 images. All images are compressed WEBP. I’m curious if it’s a good idea in the interest of speeding up the page load to just present the image gallery in a lightbox that’s accessed through a text link. I’d probably use the DFactory Hidden Gallery, but would be open to other suggestions.
Thoughts? I’m curious what people think as far as the user experience this will give people. I’m also curious if this would be negative for SEO.
Thanks in advance!
