Opinion on migrating from Drupal to WordPress

[ad_1]

I work at a company that helps support a small trade association. Part of my job for the association is add and update content. The size is very utilitarian with a calendar, sliders on the home page pointing to the most used items. videos and images. Currently, they are on Drupal 9 and every time they need to make rearrange the staff page or officers page, they have to contact the developer. There is a WP site that whenever I need to change the look of the page, I just move things around like building blocks.

The reason everyone has used for staying with Drupal is security and its ability to work an API. There is not a lot of custom code on the site. Am I wrong in thinking this can be done with WordPress.

They want my opinion, but I want to ask people with a lot more experience than me in web design.

  1. Drupal is difficult to work with – but more secure.

With the right approach and maintenance workflow, you can use WordPress to present the same concepts and implement appropriate security measures to button things up…

Migration would consist of a new layout designed, and manual content migration…
